Side Piece Racing is excited to announce as of 2026 we are the Official North American Distributor for Mighty Gripper Tire Additive taking over from our long term friend EJ at Mighty Gripper USA.  Unfortunately, our changes with tariffs in the USA have made shipping the Mighty Gripper traction compound products VERY difficult.  We continue to find ways to improve our ability to satisfy the needs of our racing community!

Which version should I buy and why?  Here is our experience over the past 10+ years from Asphalt Touring Car Racing

• MGV3 Yellow - The GO TO option to start with at all asphalt tracks with 1/10th EP Rubber Tire Touring Car.  This is the easy button.
• MGV3 Black - Works great especially in dusty conditions.  Be careful of the compound "wearing out" through the run.  If you experience this, go back to Yellow or Orange.
• MGV3 Red - The secret to product massive grip in low temperature conditions.  Watch the track temp, anything over 100F can be too much.  MGV3 Red can cause the tire to overheat and then loose grip.  You can realize an over heat scenario by stopping for 40s and then restarting to see if grip comes back to full strength.  If you experience this, go back to Yellow.
• MGV3 Orange - Works great especially in dusty conditions.  If Yellow or Black isn't working, try Orange.
• MGV3 Blue - Best used as a cleaning and layer compound to make the grip more intense.  Clean the tire with Blue and then put another MGV3 compound on top (Yellow, Black, Red or Orange)
• MGV3 White - Racing on a soda / sugar sprayed track try White.  Best used as a cleaning and layer compound to make the grip more intense.  Clean the tire with Blue and then put another MGV3 compound on top (Yellow, Black, Red or Orange)
